Meet the Westside E-Waste Team & Go Green

Kevin Rickman
I graduated from CSUN in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in economics. I grew a passion for learning how electronics work and preserving the environment. After college, I knew starting a company from scratch was going to be a challenge but with the help of my business partner, we made it a reality. We want to give electronics a second life and distribute them around the globe.
I have a diverse background in electronics and a passion for preserving the environment, which I developed through college and internships. I’m very passionate about what we do here at Westside E-Waste and I believe that we can make a difference. Helping out the less fortunate and providing new opportunities through electronics that people didn’t think were possible is my goal!
I graduated from San Diego State University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Being born at the start of the new century, I have always been fond of electronics and the many things you can do with them. Working at desk jobs right out of college, Kevin and I believed we were just one idea away from making something big. With that in mind, we founded Westside Listings in April 2023, later launching Westside E-Waste at the start of 2024. I am very passionate about our processes at Westside E-Waste and believe that our company will make a positive impact on every business it interacts with.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, playing pool, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I also am an avid Los Angeles sports fan— go Dodgers and Lakers!

Mission Statement & Vision for the Future
Westside E-Waste was created to find a better way to combat the growing electronic waste that is polluting our nation’s landfills. With this in mind, we studied the industry and were shocked to see many E-Waste companies shred their electronics for precious metal recovery. Rather than shredding electronics, Westside E-Waste gives them a new life by repairing any items we can and repurposing parts in those we can’t. While most electronics we get seem “old” and “worthless” to the modern consumer, many lower-income communities and developing nations would say otherwise. We want to make the world a better place for everyone! Every kid in school deserves to have a computer, and the ability to learn whatever and whenever they so choose. This is our goal at Westside E-Waste and we hope that you can help us accomplish this goal!

Vision
To lead the way in sustainable e-waste management, empowering businesses to responsibly recycle and reduce electronic waste, while promoting environmental stewardship, innovation, and a greener future.
